Apply to Present at The Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference 2018!
The Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference is kicking off a new year with a new theme and an invitation. This year’s theme is On the Road to Quality. Many people are on the road to quality, but not all roads follow the same path. As Tolkien wrote: “Not all who wander are lost.”
The route to quality is not always a straight line. Where have you wandered to in your search to improve processes, create better software and construct better methods for testing?
Tell your journey toward quality
PNSQC invites you to share your adventure with others. Submit an abstract and, if your idea is accepted, you will present your paper at PNSQC in October 2018 in Portland, OR.
In addition to the new theme, there are several other new developments for the conference.
We are returning to our decades-long tradition of requiring a technical paper to support all the presentations. The consensus of the board was that this practice leads to a better program.
Also, we will make available an on-demand printing service for providing the PNSQC 2018 Proceedings. We are excited to offer these improvements as we continue to strive for the high-quality content you expect at PNSQC.
Covering the content you want to see
Program co-chairs Sue Bartlett and Phil Lew have put a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the tracks this year, and they are determined to present a program that will inspire speakers like you. One change they’ve added: additional tracks. They have curated a set of five tracks which maps out the landscape over which many testers and QA staff travel.
These tracks can help you choose a topic for your proposal. The tracks are:
- People, Management, and Leadership
- Technologies and Tools
- Performance and Security
- Automation
- Processes, Practices, and Methods
People’s Choice Award
Also, new this year, we are adding a People’s Choice Best Presentation Award. The award will be chosen real-time by the attendees via the PNSQC mobile app. (Bring your friends and colleagues to vote for your presentation!)
Now, are you ready? It’s time to mark your course, get in gear, and speed on over to submit a proposal for a chance to share your experience On the Road to Quality.
PNSQC Mission: Enable knowledge exchange to produce higher quality software.
