The PNSQC 2020 Call for Proposals is now open. This year’s conference theme, “2020 Vision: Quality Looking Forward,” is all about looking to the future — to where software quality processes and methods will be in the next few years, and even decades.
We want to hear from you, to get your take on what you see ahead for the industry.
Curious about submitting an abstract for the conference, but not sure if you have a good topic? PNSQC’s Program Committee will be sharing some subjects over the next few weeks that are piquing their interest right now, and which you might want to dive deeper into to answer our Call for Proposals:
Emerging Technologies
- The convergence of mobile apps and cloud computing is a perfect storm for security and performance. Share your experience with tools, methods or innovations to provide performance while preventing hacks.
- Using AI-driven tools in testing is becoming more prevalent. Has your organization used AI tools in a meaningful way? This is your chance to discuss your discoveries, stumbling blocks, and surprising insights.
- Blockchain technology may become a part of systems from e-commerce to real estate, security to healthcare. Have you worked to test blockchain apps? How do you define quality for blockchain integrations?
People, Management, and Leadership
- The perennial problem of managing teams could always use refreshing quantitative and qualitative approaches! What would be some new methods your team is using? There are many models between “self-organizing” and “top-down.” What have you seen as effective in practice? What have you seen as non-effective and what corrective course was taken?
- “Retooling” generally means getting new tools, but recently with AI accelerating automation in all industries, some say there will be a need to “retool” humans, or retooling our workforce. Why is this needed? Who will need to be ‘retooled’ and how?
Security
- What are the current “best practices” in security and vulnerability testing?
- Have you had any breaches in your organization? If so, what did you learn and how can you test to prevent them?
- How to integrate Security Testing and Security Thinking throughout the product life cycle?
- When you do a vulnerability assessment, what do you do with the results? What is the most effective reporting practice that helps get to the best solution?
- Are today’s Security validation tools (including AI based) scalable and prepared for potential future threats? If yes, how? If not, what should be the changes and the approach to enable them?
The Program Committee has so many items on their Wish List, that we had to divide them into two posts!
