As we sift through the abstract submissions for #PNSQC15, we are seeing that although mobile apps, cloud computing and security are emerging major issues, there are not many submissions in these critical areas. We should have many more papers dealing with quality in these areas and strongly encourage abstracts in these areas.
For instance, here are some ideas:
- For some mobile apps, an application originally developed as a PC program, may now also be provided as browser and mobile applications. How do you do testing across these multiple platforms?
- How does one go about testing security for any application? What are the current best practices? Security is ripe for papers/presentations; for instance, “Security Testing Basics” or “Security Testing from the Trenches”.
- Although cloud computing may be seen as more of an IT thing, many systems are being moved in that direction. If an app is moved to the cloud, are there additional quality issues that need to be examined? What about security for a cloud app vs. a PC or client/server app?
Don’t forget, the abstract submission deadline has been extended!
