On the last Thursday in January PNSQC opened the 2021 Call for Papers with a Culture Jam. The theme this year is Quality Coming Together, and the event was a wonderful chance for people to chat, share views on software quality, and hear some fresh ideas from the speakers. Each speaker had 15 minutes to convey their idea on the theme of how quality comes together for their teams, organizations and projects.
The agenda was
-
- Opening remarks from PNSQC President Brian Gaudreau
- Introduction to the event by Program Chair Philip Lew
- Ensuring a quality-first approach in software development and implementation — a manager’s perspective with Amy Sawyer (With apologies to Amy, due to technical issues we failed to record her presentation).
- Cybersecurity by Design Without Compromising UX and Quality by John Klassen
-
-
- Why Testers Belong at the Hackathon with Rachael Lovallo
- Presentation of 2020 awards and a short break with networking
- New Age of Test Automation with Iryna Suprun
-
-
- Useful UAT with Robin Goldsmith
-
- From 3 to 1 Easier Said Than Done with Shiva Srinivasan
-
- Automation Does Not Replace Collaboration with Stephen Kilbourn
-
- Phil Lew, Program Chair for PNSQC 2021, closed the event with a brief talk challenging everyone to Push Beyond their Comfort Zone and to officially open the Call for Proposals for the 2021 Conference.
