Yasuharu Nishi – The University of Electro-Communications
You have a vague impression that many Japanese hardware manufacturers develop high-quality products such as automobiles. They have established principles of quality management, TQM – Total Quality Management, which were parts of the origin of lean manufacturing leading agile development. Although TQM is originally for hardware manufacturers, it contains good mindsets for quality software development. The TQM mindsets will particularly give hints to testers who hope to unchain their role into quality management, quality assurance, or quality engineers. In this presentation, Nishi will share his experiences in extracting essences from TQM and applying them to software divisions in large-scale manufacturers in Japan.
