Livestreaming on the network’s Go app and the app itself both crashed for thousands of fans in March and April this year during the season finale of one, and the season premiere of the other.
Authors Neha Rai, Tim Schooley, and Tejas Patil, from McAfee, will present on Scalability Testing: Pushing the Limits, covering how to ask the tough questions of your server-client configuration to prevent huge scalability failures.
Most flaws are deep in the architecture, which is very hard and expensive to change later. Often, the quick and probable fix is to add more servers. However, by including more servers, one can hit diminishing returns very fast, unless the software is designed to scale that way. So is there a magical way of calculating scalability of the software?
