This year’s PNSQC 2016 speaker roster is loaded with gems as speakers from all over the world will merge their mental might in Portland to share it with the attendees in a joint intellectual download.
The majority of our presenters are professionals of long standing in the quality assurance field. But one very special presentation will be made by a group of high school students from Portland. The Robotics Team first presented its research, complete with awesome robotic demonstrations, at last year’s conference. Now, they return to show us what they’ve learned since their initial presentation.
The team is led by its anointed “captain,” Anshuman Radhakrishnan, a Westview High School senior. This young man got his start in robotics nearly a decade ago and says his desire is to earn a Computer Science degree from a solid university.
Catlin Gabel School senior Nikhil Murthy is the team’s lead programmer. Not surprisingly, he most enjoys spending time working on robots, learning more about computer science, and conducting research.
Jennie Wang is the team builder (as in builder of machines), a senior at Westview High School, and says she enjoys engineering and biology. This is her third year on the robotics team; she wasn’t able to attend last year’s presentation, so we’re looking forward to her contribution this year.
The team will be presenting Monday, Oct. 17 at 4:40 p.m. in the Level 1 Plaza Room. In addition to the excellent work the team did last year during it’s presentation, those in the audience also found it uplifting to see such passion and abilities displayed by this fine group of high school students.
