Portland Alternative Dwellings
Joan Grimm has designed and delivered local and international environmental education and sustainability programs for more than 25 years. She is one of the founders of SCRAP (the School and Community Reuse Action Project) and the Oregon Green Schools Association. Now she is co-owner of Portland Alternative Dwellings (PADTinyhouses.com), and she co-manages the biennial Build Small Live Large Summit, convening leaders in accessory dwelling unit (ADU) policy, design and development to learn how these small homes built in backyards and basements can help build healthy, equitable communities.
