Rich Sheridan Menlo Innovations praises Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference 2017
Rich Sheridan, chief storyteller and co-founder of Menlo Innovations, delivered the closing keynote address at PNSQC 2017. His tale of creating a joy-based tech company stirred quite a follow-up discussion and was the topic of many conversations at the closing reception. We asked Rich to share his PNSQC experience with us. Here’s what he had to say:
The PNSQC Conference was a delicious 2017 highlight for me. Portland is such a great setting for any conference and this one is no exception. I expected a passionate crowd of dedicated professionals and I underestimated just how much I would get out of both of those qualities.
My talks apparently hit the mark which is a thrill for me. However, the ensuing hallway conversations and personal and professional connections made here have enriched my life. Thank you for inviting me into this stalwart of conferences and congratulations on 35 years which must make this one of the longest-running conferences in the history of our industry.
We have many challenges ahead as software continues to take over the world. Quality will be the key differentiator as to whether our advances are positive or negative in terms of their impact on humanity. I am comforted knowing the PNSQC and its influence will give us a good shot at making our industry’s contribution as positive as possible.
