Traditionally, user experience research was part of the development lifecycle. Researchers had months to prepare, run and report out findings from studies. With the new Agile model, traditional research methods need to adapt in order to fit into the sprint process. The purpose of this presentation is to show how user experience research can be applied to the agile process and improve software applications. This presentation will provide user experience research methods, which teams can apply to their own software projects, and will also provide real world examples.
Key Topics:
- Importance of User Experience Research
- Getting to know the user
- Design Studios
- Usability Walkthroughs
- Internal user testing
- Impact of User Experience Research with Agile on the SW Application
By incorporating one or many of these methodologies into the Agile process, teams will see a vast improvement of the usability of the software product. These techniques will also create user stories that are more precise and directly aligned with the users’ needs.
