QA and testing budgets have experienced unprecedented and worrying climbs while still struggling to meet increased demands for efficiency, more and quicker test results and good product quality. When we think about making testing quicker and leaner and more rapid, we must consider compared to what. So, even though the techniques that are covered in this workshop provide leaner, quicker more rapid testing, the gains experienced will be relative to what you are doing now, your current state of effectiveness, and how effective you are at implementing the technique.
Leaner, agile testing isn’t technique but an overarching process of understanding what is to be achieved in the context of the test project and maximizing the value of given time. One part is to cut out anything that isn’t necessary, and to reconceived testing as a process of inquiry, rather than a clerical task.
This workshop provides an approach that testing organizations can consider when they are trying to optimize the testing processes in their organization. We know that there are many challenges facing testing groups today and this course provides potential solutions to those challenges.
When the workshop is completed, the attendees will be able to:
- Apply lean techniques to streamline testing for agile and non-agile projects
- identify areas in their organization where they have “waste”
- Apply strategies for leaner and quicker testing
- Utilize practical exercise as a foundation for implementation of lean techniques
