Zeger Van Hese, Z-sharp and Ruud Cox, Improve Quality Services
Empirical evidence suggests that humans have an innate capacity to think visually. Once we grow up, however, we lose much of that, and our thoughts and communication become text-centric. Ruud and Zeger would like to bring back that long lost art of thinking and communicating visually.
By means of hands-on exercises, they will demonstrate various concepts, tools and techniques that can help with visualization while testing. The purpose of this workshop is to experience the power of drawing and to learn how this can benefit and complement our testing activities.
Yes, you will be drawing. The good news is that visualization doesn’t require you to be good at drawing, since this is all about conveying ideas, not making art. Come and learn how to create visualizations that stick and leave with a desire to try this at work.
Note: this tutorial comes with an half-day tutorial add-on that goes deeper into modeling for software testers: “Let’s get visual – Using models in testing”.
When the workshop is completed, the attendees will be able to:
- Experience the power of drawing
- Be a more creative problem solver
- Harness the power of visualization for testing
- Know theory and practice of mind maps, sketch notes, drawings and graphics
- Lay a good foundation for the follow-up tutorial “Let’s get visual – Using models in testing”
