The PNSQC 2020 Call for Proposals is open
In Part 1, the Program Committee shared a Wish List of topics they’d love to see presented at the upcoming 2020 conference, October 12-14.
This included Emerging Technologies; People, Management, and Leadership; and Security. In this post, they’re continuing the list with ideas for the Call for Proposals, while posing many questions that you and your team are sure to be tackling on the job.
Jump in, and see if there’s any subject on which you’d want to share at PNSQC 2020.
Performance
- What are the current “best practices” in security and performance testing? Some hands-on proposals of tools being used results you’re getting would be great.
- What are the top tools you use for performance testing?
- How do you analyze performance testing data?
- How do you know what scenarios to test?
Processes, Practices, and Methods
- Share with us what you think helps ensure software quality. Where are we focused, where should we be?
- What is QA’s role in an agile team? Did you have any epiphanies in the transition to (or from) agile development?
- What is the process you should take when moving from a black box to white box testing?
- Have microservices been used successfully in your organization? Conversely, have they created any new challenges and how did you address those?
- Predictive analysis in software development and QA is an ongoing conversation. Consider adding your voice to the discussion.
- What is your path towards maturing quality practices in your organization? Share your experiences and learning at PNSQC.
- What types of technical debt hold back quality and how do we identify, quantify, and reduce them?
Accessibility
- Designing and testing for accessibility can expand a company’s audience and revenue, so why don’t more companies do this from the start?
- What are some of the latest approaches to accessibility testing and implementation in agile and traditional projects?
- How do you set up your team for successful accessibility testing?
- How do you involve the right people, including users, inaccessibility testing?
- What are some of the latest open-source and commercial tools to support accessibility testing?
- How are the laws around accessibility changing and transforming its importance in the software process?
If any of these topics interest you or spark an idea, consider submitting an abstract to PNSQC’s Call for Proposals. The Call is open through April 15.
